I remember you Alan as a fresh faced young but very confident young man coming for an interview for a design engineer apprenticeship transfer in the 1960s [I think] at A lonngworth and Sons. I knew you were bright but little did I know the heights to which you would climb.  It's been a privilege to be have been your friend. RIP
